NPR has been strongly pushing the new album by Niko Case, K.D. Lang and Laura Veirs. From what I've heard, it's pretty good. Deeply pleasant. -

While listening to "World Cafe" tonight, I heard a song with lyrics I really like, from an album I've heard of. So, I will post these lyrics for you. I think they are in the vein of all country music: Leave the farm, go to the city, cry. I can relate. Can you? -

That was nicely followed by a song by Courtney Barnett which has been around for a while, but I will also post this for you, as an example of HER great lyrics. I'm not sure if there are two versions out of this song. But let's not split peas. - -

I found this oddly interesting: The Moldy Peaches,, of "Juno" fame, released their eponymous album in the U.S. on September 11, 2001. Oddly, it contained the song "NYC Is Like a Graveyard". - -
